He coached the German national sevens team in a World Cup Qualifying Tournament in 1992, and was a coaching consultant to the Portuguese national sevens team in the World Cup Qualrying process in 1996. He also served as a consultant to the Portuguese Rugby Union in 1997. He was guest coach of the Trinidad and Tobago national sevens team the World Cup Qualifying process in 2000.

Heide Elisabeth Margret RUPPEL (daughter of Walter Theodor (Theo) RUPPEL and Anneliese Ernestine Marta Margarete STEINHAUER) was born on 15 Apr 1940 in Worms am Rhein, Germany. She was baptized on 1 Dec 1940 in Worms am Rhein, Germany.¹⁷⁷ She was educated Colegio San Miguel between 1951 and 1955 in Madrid, Spain. She lived in Madrid, Spain between 1951 and 1955.
