Mariquita was one of three children (plus one that died very young) of the marriage of Isidro TOLEDO MORALES and Josefa RUIZ ARREBOLA. Josefa died young, Isidro remarried, and had 13 children with his second wife, Dolores FERNÁNDEZ MATEOS.

They lived at C/Toro n° 5-pral in Madrid, Spain in 1890.⁵⁵ They lived at C/Encomienda n° 15-2° izquierda (exterior) in Madrid, Spain in 1895.⁵⁶ Francisco (Frasquito) LAGOS MUÑOZ (son of Salvador LAGOS ZAPATA and Manuela Teresa (Teresa) MUÑOZ FRÍAS) was born on 12 Feb 1851 in Periana, Málaga, Spain.^4,57 He was an employee (empleado) in Madrid, Spain in 1890. Sueldo anual: 1250 pesetas. He died on 19 Feb 1900 in Periana, Málaga, Spain.^54,57 Died of tuberculosis (á consecuencia de tuberculosis pulmonar). Although he died in Periana, his residence at the time was Madrid (aunque murió en Periana, según el acta de defunción, "domiciliado en Madrid"). Full name: María de los Dolores Justa de la Santísima Trinidad.

84	iv.	José LAGOS TOLEDO **63 was born on 28 Sep 1882 in Periana, Málaga, Spain.63,64 Full name: José de la Santísima Trinidad. Nació en la casa de sus padres en la Calle del Horno. He died before 30 Sep 1886.59,65 No one in our family knew that there ever was a José LAGOS TOLEDO until I discovered his birth certificate in the Periana Civil Register in Nov 1999. Writing in Periana on 30 Sept 1886, Manuel MÚÑOZ FRIAS, an uncle of Francisco LAGOS MUÑOZ as well as a parish priest, wrote "Certifico que D. Francisco Lagos Muñoz de su legítima matrimonio con Dª Maria Toledo Ruiz, tiene cuatro hijos [Dolores, Manuel, Antonio, Francisco] . . . " which leads me to believe that José must have died by then. In addition, not having found a death certificate in Periana leads me to believe he probably died in Madrid, to which the family moved around 1885. -- Emil SIGNES.

Nació en la casa de sus padres, Calle de las Monjas, 3. He was living between 1885 and 1910 in Madrid, Spain.61 He appeared in the census in 1890 in Madrid, Spain.61 He lived at Calle del Toro núm. 5 - principal in Madrid, Spain on 1 Dec 1890.61 He died on 18 Jul 1910 in Madrid, Spain.62 In source document it says "Consta fallecido el dia 18 de julio de 1910 y registrada su defunción en el distrito de Hospital, con el n° 1621." Unmarried; no children.

Mª de las Mercedes LAGOS TOLEDO **68,69 was born on 8 Jan 1892 in Madrid, Spain.69 She lived C / Encomiendas, 15 - 2o izquierda in Madrid, Spain in 1895.69 She died on 15 Sep 1906 in Madrid, Spain.54,68 Died of tuberculosis. According to Antonio LAGOS TOLEDO, his brother Manuel was afraid to touch Mercedes for fear of contracting tuberculosis (both parents had already died from it), and would tap her with his cane when they went to visit her in the sanatorium.
88	viii.	Isidro LAGOS TOLEDO * was born on 1 Jan 1897 in Madrid, Spain.70 Manuela and Isidro are two heretofore (1999) unknown children of Francisco LAGOS MUÑOZ AND María Carmen TOLEDO RUIZ. They are mentioned on Frasquito's 1900 death certificate but not Mariquita's 1903 death certificate, leading me to believe they died between these two dates (although in many cases, children who died young seem to be listed on death certificates such as these). As no birth or death certificates were found in Periana, they most likely were born and died in Madrid (after 1884). -- Emil SIGNES
