The map
below
shows the addresses where the Lagos family lived between 1912 and 1921.
(1) is 290 West 12th
Street, their first address.
(2) is 239 East 79th
Street, their second address.
(3) is 344 East 85th
Street, their third address
(4) is 526 East 83rd
Street, their fourth address.
Also indicated but not
numbered are
Cortina Academy of Languages, where Antonio Lagos worked, in 1917, and
Carl Schurz Park, likely play area of the family from 1917 to 1921.
"X" indicates that
none of those crossings existed in 1921 (specifically, none of the
tunnels nor the GW or Triboro bridges). The four lower East River
crossings - the Brooklyn, Manhattan, Williamsburg and Queensborough
Bridges - had all been completed by the time the family moved in in
1912.
