The data in Werner Ruppel's Ahnentafel cites Theodor Fricke as Christinane Claus's father. The family legend, however, as passed on by the Albert information, claimed that "a travelling journeyman from Northern Italy who had dark hair and fiery eyes ("'fahrender Geselle' aus Oberitalien mit dunklen Haaren und 'Glutaugen'") was the father of Christiane Claus's daughter." At any rate, Christiane kept her mother's last name, so one assumes there was no marriage involved.
