7/1-2/2006: Atlantis U23 Women at Cape Fear

Note of June 2013: I have no write up on
this tournament. I do remember
somethings about this tournament.
There were select-sides from all over
the country; I believe national coach
Julie McCoy wanted all her prospective players to be there. I
was basically coaching a U-23 team (except for
34-year old Angel Bishop who was our old and wise player; without Angel our
average age was 21.2), and our inexperience
showed, especially
in the beginning.
Despite being
0-6-1, however, we were
making great strides: we
lost our last game, in the QF, to
the Midwest,
who had beaten us the day
before 26-5, but it
was a 24-19
squeaker.
Staff: I was the coach assisted by Mike May and Bill Lucas the
manager.
