He was a «notario» in Madrid, Spain from 1931.156,157 A partial list of accomplishments includes «Doctor en Derecho, Notario de Madrid, Miembro de número de la Real Academia de jurisprudencia y del Consejo de Investigaciones Científicas, Vicedirector del Instítuto Nacional de Estudios Jurídicos.» From an undated Christmas card, we also learn that he was «El Presidente de Honor de la Unión Internacional del Notariado Latino», «El Presidente de la Junta de Decanos de los Colegios Notariales de España», and «El Decano del Ilustre Colegio Notarial de Madrid». He was the author of several books on jurisprudence, partly referenced here, between 1950 and 1964 in Madrid, Spain.158 References to these books may be found in the cited sources. He died on 11 Jan 1991 in Madrid, Spain.16 Per his brother Francisco, «mi hermano Rafael fué un gran jurista y como lo conocían fuera de España más bien por el segundo apellido, lo unió al primero y pasó a llamarse Rafael Núñez-Lagos Moreno, aunque en el uso y en sus muchos e importantes libros de derecho, publicados, no aparece el Moreno." It may or may not be relevant that in books published in 1950 and 1951, his 2 apellidos were written without a hyphen, whereas in later books (from 1957 on), they were written "Núñez-Lagos."
