Note of July 2013: I don't even
remember how I found the Borneo Sevens, might have been on
Facebook. Needless to say, it seemed like too good an
opportunity not to go for it. After getting
recommendations and looking for players willing and able
to join this unique opportunity I found 8 good players
(would have liked 2 more, but we did just fine), and we
were off. It was the year to do it - it was the
first year for women at Borneo, and starting the next year
it became an Asian championship so we wouldn't have been
allowed to take part.
I never wrote up anything on this
tour, but I did put together a couple of highlight videos.
I have begun (July 28, 2013) writing an article on the
tour (based in large part on memories spurred by these
videos and many pictures. It will take ages.
The highlight videos may still be found on
youtube:
Part 1 at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFHUrsjmOw4
- This is all pre-tournament.
Part 2 at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlY4EVx-e50
- tournament highlights and afterwards.
In case they disappear from youtube (known to happen), these
videos may also be found here (but the youtube versions load
faster):

video 2: tourney and after
Another generic video encompassing several days of the tour is
this one, put together from a bunch of unrelated little video
clips taken by digital tour chronicler Michelle Persica:
